Super Bowl 2016: Who Will Follow Katy Perry’s Halftime Show On 50th Super Bowl? NFL Might Bring Bruno Mars’ ‘Uptown Funk’ Once More!

As 2015 enters its final trimester, it's also time for the new season of the National Football League to begin after the New England Patriots took the championship last February beating the Seattle Seahawks after a widely viewed halftime show - so, who's performing at the Super Bowl 2016?

Earlier this year, Katy Perry broke viewing records for halftime shows after 121 million people tuned in to watch her perform at the University of Phoenix Stadium in a meme-worthy show - now, with the 50th anniversary of the event just around the corner, the NFL is apparently thinking of bringing back an old favorite for the Super Bowl 2016.

According to Billboard, it seems like Bruno Mars, who took the stage at the MetLife Stadium with the Red Hot Chili Peppers on 2014, was recently offered to perform and "curate" the Super Bowl 2016, which might very well mean the NFL wants to go big for their big anniversary, even bringing in some great guests.

At the time of his own halftime performance, Mars broke all viewership records with a solid 115 million people tuning in to watch him sing hits like "Locked Out of Heaven," and his chances look even better for the Super Bowl 2016 after he was a part of the major hit "Uptown Funk," where he contributed vocals to Mark Ronson's song.

Entertainment Weekly tried to reach reps for Mars and the NFL, but it was impossible to confirm whether the reports of the "Just the Way You Are" singer was offered the show once more.

In the meantime, CapitalFM reports on other possible candidates for the Super Bowl 2016 halftime show, such as Taylor Swift (whose album "1989" and its current tour have been incredibly successful), Princess of Pop Britney Spears, British boy band One Direction or even Barbadian superstar singer Rihanna.

There are just too many incredible possibilities for the Super Bowl 2016 halftime show!
