In the past, children have to choose between ice cream and cake when dessert is involved, but now that Sonic Drive-In has combined the two wonderful snacks, children, or adults, wouldn't be having such a hard time choosing between the two.
The new ice cream and cake desserts come in Ice Cream Cake Cones and Ice Cream Cake Shakes, according to Food Beast.
The ice cream milkshakes also come in three delicious toppings, including Strawberry Shortcake, Oreo Cake and Vanilla Birthday Cake.
No child will ever have to face such a hard decision in choosing desserts now.
Ice cream and cake combos have reportedly been trending quite frequently in the last few years. While Sonic has yet to create deep-fried ice cream cake, it sure is nice to see they're experimenting more with their menu.
Shakes and cones are now available at participating Sonic Drive-in locations. The cone costs around $3.12 while a small shake costs $3.45.
For simple ice cream shakes without the added flavour of cake, Sonic Drive-In also have "Real Ice Cream Shakes," a yummy dessert made with hand-mixed flavors of your choice, showing a thick, cold, creamy shake.
Real Ice Cream Shakes come in 8 different flavors, according to the Sonic Drive In website.
- Fresh Banana Shake - made with real bananas and real banana flavor, whipped topping and a cherry
- Caramel Shake - made with a rich caramel flavor and whipped topping and a cherry
- Chocolate Shake - made with a rich chocolate flavor and finished with whipped topping and cherry
- Pineapple Shake - made with real pineapple and pineapple flavor, the pineapple shake is finished off with whipped topping and cherry
- Strawberry Shake - made with real strawberries and a sweet strawberry flavor, this dessert is also finished with whipped topping and a cherry
- Vanilla Shake - this thick and creamy dessert is made with a rich vanilla flavor and also finished off with whipped topping and cherry
- Hot Fudge Shake - thick and creamy to the brim, this dessert is made with rich hot fudge flavor and also has whipped topping and a cherry.
- Peanut Butter Shake - this real ice cream shake is made with rich peanut butter and also finished off with whipped topping and a cherry
