Watchers On The Wall has just reported that 'About Time' star Richard E. Grant is now part of 'Game of Thrones' although there has been no official announcement of the actor's involvement. The site points to the ARG Talent page, which adds the show to Grant's acting CV.

But who could Richard E. Grant play in 'Game of Thrones?'

George R.R. Martin's book series 'A Song of Ice and Fire' is filled with several diverse characters that the actor can easily portray. Based on the recent casting news, Richard E. Grant might still be able to take the role of Randyll Tarly, a character that most fans are speculating will be played by Ian McShane. There is also a possibility that Grant would make an excellent Ironborn and be given the role of Aeron Greyjoy, uncle to Theon and brother to Euron (Pilou Albaek).

However, Richard E. Grant would also be an excellent choice to play one of the more important Northmen supporting the Starks. The actor has been in several films and has portrayed an astounding array of characters that he could tackle any role in 'Game of Thrones' except for the Dothraki characters that require more muscle-bound actors.
