Popular Southern California wine company Stack Wines has stuck a deal with international importer and distribution giant Shaw-Ross for a start at getting the product across the country. Shaw-Ross will step in charge of sales and marketing business for business, as it will become the exclusive US importer for Stack Wines. The deal is said to be a lengthy strategy to expand into the global wine market.
"The innovative spirit and vigor of the Stack Wines team coupled with the extensive industry experience of Shaw-Ross make this relationship a perfect match," said Stack Wines founder and CEO Matt Zimmer.
This is a major deal for Stack Wines, before only marketing the product to two counties in California. The agreement has brought them out of the region specific focus to a national one.
"The success of our first year has created a demand and steady progression making it a very exciting time for our company," said Stack Wines co-founder and VP of Marketing Jodi Wynn.
Stack Wines' success is owed in large to the packaging of the product, which was designed by Zimmer himself. A 100 percent recyclable package that preserves wine longer than the average container, Stack Wines are portable, on-the-go, single serve glasses of wine. The brand loyalty shown by Californians is expected to transition into a national following, as Stack Wines has already received recognition in the wine industry and single-serving technology.
Shaw-Ross will begin an opening strategy of distributing the Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and their custom red, Charisma. Prices in California are between $11.99 to $12.99. Stack Wines are expected to be available at retail stores in California, Florida, Illinois and Indiana in April of this year.
