Anyone who has ever wondered why clubs look almost exactly alike in Hollywood movies will finally get an answer: It is all the same club, and it is located in a different planet.
Youtuber Antonio Maria Da Silva has just released an amazing short film called 'Hell's Club,' which makes use of iconic club scenes from several movies and splices them all together to create a believable storyline.
What is 'Hell's Club' about? As da Silva's description succinctly explains, it's "Terminator versus Tony Montana versus Tom Cruise versus Carlito Brigante versus Blade versus John Travolta versus Al Pacino versus Pinhead versus The Mask versus Robocop versus Darth Vader versus Michael Jackson."
The synopsis reads as follows:
"There is a place or fictional characters meet. Outside of time, Outside of all logic, This place is known as HELL'S CLUB, But this club is not safe."
The film starts with Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi walking into a club in Coruscant, where John Travolta is the king of the dance floor, Tom Cruise is the charming bartender and Carlito makes the rules.
Although 'Hell's Club' is as funny and hilarious as most mash-ups come, it can also be viewed as something more than just a joke. As io9 lightly puts it, "'Hell's Club' is mostly a pointed critique of Hollywood's insistence that all clubs look exactly same."
The short film makes use of scenes from Saturday Night Fever, Carlito's Way, Terminator, Trainspotting, Boogie Nights, Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Air Planes, John Wick, Matrix, Blade 2, Collateral, Miami Vice, True Romance, Robocop, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, The Mask, Charlie's Angels, Basic Instinct, Austin Power, Casino, Dirty Dancing, Cocktail, American Psycho, Scarface, Moon Walker, Hellraiser 3 and A Night At the Roxbury.
