See Prince Harry Examine A Lion In South Africa [PHOTO]

On his three-month conservation work in the African Wildlife, Prince Harry was snapped examining a massive male lion at a Namibian reserve.

As seen on the picture, Harry places his hands on a sedated lion - checking on its vitals and breathing while he was assisting wildlife veterinarians.

People reports the 30-year-old prince continue to live out his "dream job" for the summer, partnering with Save the Rhino Trust and other "front-line conservation projects in southern Africa" to help promote African wildlife conservation.

"For me, it's three months of hard grafting, working with animals," said Harry during his New Zealand tour back in May. "To actually get the chance to embed myself with the top vet in southern Africa, travel with him for three weeks and every job he gets called up to do. That's like my dream."

In July, the British royal joined other conservationists in de-horning black rhinos to help cease poaching. "It is part of the anti-poaching strategy. Poachers won't come and kill them if there is no horn," explained Namibia Minister for Environment and Tourism, Mr. Pohamba Shifeta. "There is a team from the ministry doing that and he spent time with them."

"He is working actively with the anti-poaching units inside the Park," said Martin Bornman of Care for Wild Africa. "That is why he has got the beard and everything. He had literally just come out of the bush."

Mr. Shifeta added he admires Harry for "airing his voice about conservation in the world."

"In southern Africa, we have the largest population of wildlife today, especially the high value species," he said. "His contribution is highly appreciated."

According to Safari author, Geoffrey Kent, Harry "has developed a lifelong passion for Africa" after his formative trip with the travel pioneer just weeks after Princess Diana passed away. Seeing him grow into an active conservationist, Kent added "that passion has developed into leadership."
