'Tasted' Brings Comedy, Cooking Online With 'Improv Kitchen', Jet Tila, Michael Weaver

"Tasted" is a YouTube channel that brings viewers a variety of different online cooking shows. One of them is called "Improv Kitchen." It is hosted by Jet Tila and Michael Weaver. The concept of the show is quite unique because it incorporates comedy and cooking in order to entertain people.

The episodes begin with Michael coming out, talking to the audience and then he introduces their YouTube personality who they invited for the taping. The audience is entertained by Improvers from the Los Angeles based Improv studio, Upright Citizens Brigade. Michael than asks the YouTuber a question like name a sport? Or name a color. The chef must than prepare a food dish that incorporates that color as well as the sport. In the episode entitled: "Courtney Pants Throws Cooking Curve Balls for a Football Tailgate," the chef prepares gourmet chicken pops along with a cheese dipping sauce. The YouTuber Courtney Pants was their guest, and she chose football as her sport and orange as her color.

The YouTube channel also features a show called "Why Would You Eat That" where they pair up with people from around YouTube and have them eat unappetizing things. This week's menu item was rotten shark meat. The show is quite entertaining and has the ability to keep viewers attention because they are always being introduced to new personalities.  

"Tasted" has 120,000 plus subscribers and recently their videos seem to be accumulating more hits. The channel has a bunch of different shows all of which combine entertainment and food. They also have great hosts which makes the content more enjoyable to watch.

YouTube is the newest form of entertainment. People are creating their own content whether it is filmed in their own kitchen or at a studio; it is the modernized way to gain a following. "Tasted" editing style is quite advanced and their content appears to have a high budget. "Improv Kitchen" is filmed in a studio in front of a live audience. "Tasted" has all the ingredients to dominate the internet; they have great talent, unique ideas, excellent editing and a high budget.
