Earlier this week, reports surfaced that President Barack Obama will be on an episode of "Running Wild with Bear Grylls."
Although the episode for the NBC series will be appearing sometime later this year, the US President was probably just so excited that he had to post a few snaps on Instagram!
In the snap, President Barack Obama adorably covered a part of the camera with his thumb. The photo was captioned, "Glad this was the only Bear I met in the park. -bo"

Meanwhile, Bear Grylls posted a different selfie - this time sans the thumb - with the Commander-in-Chief.
"@POTUS such special moments all through this journey. & what you are doing to help protect our planet is inspiring," Grylls wrote for the caption.

He also reposted the President's snap and captioned it: "Was such a privilege to adventure with you!"
Of course, the President also took the time to post some snaps of his time in Alaska. In one photo, the President is seen looking over Resurrection Bay.
The caption reads, "Resurrection Bay is one of those places that reminds you of all the beauty this country has to offer. It's home to whales (I got to see one!), sea lions, and dozens of other species. Surrounded by jagged cliffs and alpine glaciers, this is a place that's worth protecting. -bo"

Another photo shows the beauty of Alaska. The President wrote, "A spectacular end to day two in Alaska. -bo." Check out more of his snaps from Alaska below!

Markers throughout Exit Glacier show how much it's receded over time. The impacts of climate change are real, and the people of Alaska are living with them every day. It's never been more important for us to work together to address this challenge. -bo A photo posted by The White House (@whitehouse) on Sep 1, 2015 at 5:43pm PDT

Hey everyone, it's Barack. Incredible view as we near Anchorage. I'll be spending the next few days touring this beautiful state and meeting with Alaskans about what’s going on in their lives. Looking forward to sharing it with you. -bo A photo posted by The White House (@whitehouse) on Aug 31, 2015 at 2:32pm PDT
