As the cast of the show becomes the highest-paid one on television for "The Big Bang Theory" season 9, the characters they play are currently at a crossroads in life, with Penny and Leonard about to finally take the plunge and Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) just went on a break after Sheldon was about to propose.
According to Cinema Blend, the latest "The Big Bang Theory" season 9 news confirms that Penny and Leonard will indeed finally tie the knot, after series showrunner Steve Molaro confirmed that the couple will be making it official in Vegas in the premiere episode.
"[the wedding is] really only the beginning of the story," Molaro told TV Line about the "Big Bang Theory" season 9 premiere. "As fun and as great as it is to see them get married, that's only part of it."
The Inquisitr reports that Molaro spoke quite a bit about what's next for the rest of the characters of the show after the big wedding, as "The Big Bang Theory" season 9 will see all of them dealing with the change of relationship paradigm in the main couple - while the other big pair seems to be struggling still.
New photos have surfaced of Penny and Leonard looking very wedding-y, but Sheldon and Amy are also making headlines, as another pic shows the two of them after Amy ended things through Facetime in the season finale last spring.
