Batman V Superman: Actor Michael Shannon Addresses Rumors of General Zod

Michael Shannon, the man behind the character of General Zod in the Man Of Steel, said a few days ago on the set of Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, "he had flippers on his hands."

The words of the American actor Michael Shannon created speculations about General Zod transforming into the rumored villain in the Doomsday film. After all, viewers did see the dead Zod, played by the actor, in a body-bag in the trailer of the film.

However, it seems like the actor is now into some damage control scheme.

Actors would usually resort to facial expression and " speak in vague clichés," when reporters would try to draw out important information from them regarding the movies they are working on, so they can continue to hold the viewer's curiosity and not spoil the excitement. But in the case of the Oscar nominee, he speaks about the most insane details possible, then claims to be kidding the whole time.

"Somebody was asking me about this in New York and I made up some ridiculous bulls--t answer about how my character Zod has flippers, and this went viral on the Internet or something and people have been asking me about that," Shannon, who stars in the upcoming drama 99 Homes, told The Daily Beast in a new interview. "That is so obviously a complete bulls--t story, right? But people took it seriously."

Now, he even says that he's not part of the movie, he just did some voice work for it.

"I wasn't there," he claims in an interview with The Daily Beast. "It's a really awkward situation-I'm in the trailer for a movie that I didn't work on."

Shannon then himself mentioned "Doomsday" while joking about the entire episode before adding that he would love to work with Zack Snyder again.

Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice is slated to release on 25 March 2016.
