Miley Cyrus is hosting this year's MTV Video Music Awards and the singer famous for shocking people on stage just revealed what everybody should expect.
In her interview with The New York Times, the 22-year-old promised this is going to be unlike any other VMA's, saying this "party" is definitely going to be "raw" and "psychedelic".
"They said, 'This is your party," Cyrus told The NY Times. The "We Can't Stop" singer is taking MTV's word for it by really getting involved with the planning. "I didn't want this VMAs to be like they've been in the past," she said.
This will be so exciting knowing the 2014 Video Of The Year winner has not taken the VMA stage yet since her raunchy twerking performance that shook the world two years ago.
Cyrus shares her current thoughts about her 2013 performance saying it was her way of saying "I'm just going to do what will make me happy," she recalled. "At that moment, that's what really made me happy."
The "Wrecking Ball" singer didn't even believe it was going to be such a big deal. Watching her performance video now, she said it is already just a thing from her past. "I see someone that isn't me now," the singer added.
Despite its huge popularity, Cyrus has vowed she wouldn't just "make jokes about the past" on stage during her much-awaited VMA opening number.
"Seth Rogen and his team helped us write a lot. [The Artist] Jen Stark is doing the introduction for me, so I'm coming out from one of her pieces." Cyrus, whose Instagram feed getting a huge attention for her 'surrealist' collaborations with underground artists, dished out a bit of what is going to happen. "What I'm trying to do is create my Instagram - which people love to think is so freaky - in real life," she said. "So my intro is fun skits."
The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards will air live from the Microsoft Theater on Sunday, 9 PM.
