'The Walking Dead' Star Lauren Cohan Says Season 6 Is The Most Difficult One Yet! What Will Happen To Maggie And Glenn?

There are only a few weeks left before the sixth season of 'The Walking Dead' premieres on AMC, and it looks like Rick and his crew will be up to more challenges as they try to settle into their new community.

Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie in the show, recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about filming the action scenes and what to expect in Season Six.

"I don't know if anybody has said this yet but we always joke that the writers write these amazing action sequences from air-conditioned offices," Cohan said. "And I think this season is no exception and definitely rises above. We have the most suffocating beginning to the season that I've experienced yet."

It might be more difficult for Maggie and her husband Glenn (Steven Yeun), who got briefly separated in Season Four. Their group also lost the prison, which became their home for a short time so adjusting to a new community could be difficult.

"I think what's been really interesting is that you see us all kind of make strides in the direction of civility or civilization and a more regimented society," Cohan said. "And it's about being really challenged. So we'll see a ton of challenges and we'll see people the audience has been introduced to as very stable reliable characters crumbling, and I think it's going to be pretty scary. Welcome to 'The Walking Dead.'"

In the season finale of 'The Walking Dead,' Glenn had to deal with Nicholas, who tries to kill him just outside of Alexandria. Rick manages to kill the walkers that have entered the community and offers to teach the Alexandrian how to survive. However, a drunken Pete kills Reg with Michonne's katana and Deanna orders Rick to kill him just as Morgan, Daryl and Aaron arrive.

Find out what happens in Alexandria when the sixth season of 'The Walking Dead' premieres on AMC on October 11.
