The eleventh season of 'Supernatural' is poised to be a return to the original formula where Sam and Dean Winchester take on the big bad unstoppable force that aims to destroy the world. But it also looks like there could be some powerful allies (or enemies) coming in to help them out.
Jared Padalecki, who plays Sam Winchester in the CW show, spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the possibility of getting a helping hand (or more) from above.
"I think [the Darkness] certainly opens the door for Lucifer and/or God to pop up," Padalecki said. "We're certainly going back to that and going a bit more biblical and having our take on the writings that didn't make it into the Bible."
'The Darkness' is the unimaginable evil that God has fought and imprisoned by the Mark of Cain. According to Death, it pre-dates even God and the deity is the only one who knows how to fight it.
So does this mean audiences might see God in the backseat of the brothers' trusty Impala?
"Since we know God's a scribe, we may have to invite him along for the ride," Padalecki said.
Dean Winchester's Impala, which is lovingly called Baby, has been with the brothers since the beginning although it has been portrayed by numerous stunt cars in the past ten seasons. However, it looks like the Impala that first brought Sam and Dean Winchester together still exists, and Jensen Ackles has just found her.
Jensen Ackles posted the following photos on his official Facebook page.

'Supernatural' Season 11 will premiere on the CW on October 7.
