As if it weren't exciting enough that two of the nicest and most talented ladies in Hollywood were pals, now it turns out that Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence don't just share a friendly relationship, but also a work one: they're writing a screenplay together!
Partnerships between stars happen all the time in Tinsel Town, but considering the Oscar-winning star has never written anything that has gone public, this new stage in Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence's relationship is both exciting and completely unfamiliar for fans, as this would mean the very first time that the "X-Men" actress helms her own film.
According to The New York Times, ahead of the fall release of the last film of the "Hunger Games" franchise, Lawrence spoke about future projects, including the surprise that Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence are actually writing a movie together, and it seems they're almost done with it now!
"Amy and I were creatively made for each other," said Chris Martin's ex about the exciting Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence collaboration, Time Magazine reports. "We have different flavors. It's been the most fun experience of my life. We start the day off on the phone, laughing. And then we send each other pages. And we crack up. I'm flying out tomorrow to see her in Chicago."
According to Variety, after speaking to the press, Lawrence, who is famously easygoing, went on to text the Comedy Central star to tell her she'd spilled the beans about the Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence collaboration, asking whether that was okay - to which the comedienne responded that it was "exciting" that Lawrence had shared "that [Lawrence's] gay."
While Schumer's writing chops are more than known from her show "Inside Amy Schumer" and the more recent romantic comedy "Trainwreck," the prospect of Lawrence writing is a field of its own, as it would prove a new and unknown talent for the actress.
