It might take a few more months before 'Captain America: Civil War' finally makes it into theaters, yet the film has already given rise to a hilarious new meme.
CBM has just released a new photo from the set of 'Captain America: Civil War' featuring Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) in what looks like a race in front of a mall. At first, fans were curious as to why Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes are in such a hurry, but netizens seem to have found a different purpose for the photo.
It started with Tumblr user meficrow presenting a blank canvas with only the image of Winter Soldier and Falcon, which immediately escalated in having the two characters pop up several other iconic films.
Other Tumblr users followed suit, as evidenced by Falcon and the Winter Soldier's appearance in 'Pirates of the Caribbean.'
Sam and Bucky also showed up behind Maria in 'The Sound of Music.'
One particular Tumblr user had several ideas for the 'Captain America' racing team.
Finally, Tumblr user sherlockspeare came up with the ultimate racing mash-up.
Anthony Mackie recently spoke about the feud that will happen in 'Captain America: Civil War,' where Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) will go up against Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.). According to Mackie, the "war" will be more like a "family dispute."
"Nah, it's not MMA," he said. "We definitely have gloves on. It's more a family dispute, and that's what so great about this movie and the characters and how they work together. It's more so when you have a sibling rivalry."
