'The Usual Suspects' Celebrates 20th Anniversary With 'Suicide Squad' Trailer Mash-up! Bryan Singer Remembers The Film's Amazing Cannes Debut! [VIDEO]

Bryan Singer's 1995 crime thriller 'The Usual Suspects' is celebrating its 20th year this month, and what better way to reminisce about the classic film than to see it mashed up with the 'Suicide Squad' Comic-Con trailer?

The Youtube account Demon Ape decided to splice some of the most memorable scenes from 'The Usual Suspects' with the audio and some scenes from the 'Suicide Squad' trailer. The result is 'The Suicide Suspects,' which asks, "What if the characters of 'The Usual Suspects' existed in the DC Comic Universe?"

The video suggests that Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) has recruited the cast of 'The Usual Suspects' to take upon a mission against their will. It also shows Agent Kujan (Chazz Palminteri) trying to get Verbal (Kevin Spacey) to talk about his companions while the gang attacks several cars in flashbacks.

'The Usual Suspects' was only the third film Bryan Singer ever directed, and he immediately received critical acclaim for the movie's interesting story-telling style. The crime thriller also helped Kevin Spacey win the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie nabbed the Oscar for Best Writing (Original Screenplay).

Bryan Singer recently spoke to EW about 'The Usual Suspects,' where he recalled how he slowly realized that he had made a great film.

"There was a moment at the first test screening I remember, I ran out of the theater to go to the bathroom and when I came back everyone was leaving the theater and this guy jumps behind his girlfriend and yells 'Keyser Soze!' and grabbed her shoulders, and I thought, wow that's pretty cool," Singer said. However, it didn't prepare him for the reaction in Cannes.

"Then we screened it at Cannes and I remember that's when I started to feel the fever," he said. "There was a standing ovation that went on and on at the screening and then it opened in France. I remember going to see it with the guy I was with at the time in a theater on the Champs-Elysees and I remember seeing it with French subtitles and when it was over there was all this buzz."

'The Usual Suspects' also starred Gabriel Byrne, Stephen Baldwin, Benicio del Toro and Kevin Pollack.
