Kate Middleton is craving sweets and carbs while expecting her first child with Prince William. One commenter suggests that she may be having a boy, but it may be a girl because of her sweet tooth.
According to Examiner, the Duchess of Cambridge reportedly has a sweet tooth for a pricey biscuit called lavender shortbread. It's very high in carbs.
That's not the only thing. Insiders from OK magazine said that Middleton also craves scones with clotted cream. The Examiner explains that it's a type of creamy, buttery-spread that is made from whipping cream.
"'Kate has been craving scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream. She can't get enough of it. And she washes it down with a cup of old-fashioned English-breakfast tea,' and inside source said about Catherine's high-carb must-haves." Lavender biscuits are on her list of top treats though.
St. James' Palace confirmed Dec. 3 that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their first baby.
"Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby," the palace said in a statement this morning, according to the Huffington Post.
The Palace also said that Middleton was suffering from acute morning sickness, but didn't announce a due date or the sex of the baby.
Speaking of the sex of the baby, many are itching to know this important fact. One commenter said, "Sounds like a BOY! Hint Hint Carbs."
Carbs consists of a lot of things. A bunch of forums declare that if pregnant women crave carbs and sweets together, it means they are likely to have a boy. If they don't any meat, it means they are having a girl.
According to iVillage.com, the baby of the sex will be a boy if criteria is met such as your belly looking like a basketball, you are carrying low, and you are craving salty or sour foods, protein (meats and cheese). It's a girl if you are carrying high, your belly looks like a watermelon, and you are craving fruits, sweets, and orange juice.
