Michael Phelps recently broke up with girlfriend Megan Rossee, but it seems the world thinks it's better this way.
According to TMZ, the Olympic legend broke up with Rossee because "Phelps felt the relationship wasn't going anywhere, so he decided to end it so he could pursue other options."
His other plans might involve the appearing on the Golf Channel's Haney Project in February, according to Us magazine. After being a huge success at the London games, 2013 brings more promise for the rising star.
"I have traveled the world through swimming, but really haven't had an opportunity to experience the world through my travels," Phelps said. His golf game will get some pointers from host Hank Haney. "As I enter this next chapter of my life, I think I will be able to shift my competitiveness to anything I put my mind to and golf is one of the things I want to focus on."
We all know that Rossee is not one of the things he is going to be focused on.
Back in August, Phelps, 27, stepped out with aspiring model Rossee for the Speedo Athlete Celebration in London, where he put the final touches on his 22-medal career at the 2012 Summer Olympics, according to People Magazine. The couple was all smiles back then as they posed together at the Kensington Roof Gardens.
Phelps and Rossee began quietly dating in the beginning of 2012, according to reports. A source confirmed to E! News that Phelps was dating the 25-year-old from Los Angeles.
How does the public feel about this? It looks like most agree with Phelps' decision to dumb Rossee and move on to better things. Under TMZ's article, comments flooded the bottom of the page.
