The Extreme Weight Loss Success of Chris Powell

The American personal trainer, reality show personality, talk show host, author and is best known for his appearances on the ABC television series Extreme Weight Loss, formerly known as Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition Chris Powell, has helped hundreds of overweight people lose up to half their body weight.

Chris Powell got a great arsenal of smart weight loss tricks that helped the 15 participants who completed last Extreme Weight Loss season's show where it shed a total of 2,476 pounds.

If people thought that drinking eight cups of water daily, which is a whopping half-gallon - would send a person running to the bathroom far too often.

Chris Powell said, "You don't see it on the show, but our contestants drink a lot of water-at least a gallon every day as a baseline," Powell also said, "Then, they drink an extra 32 ounces for every hour they exercise. Not only does this slightly increase their metabolism, but it also keeps them full between meals and wards off bouts of overeating. This strategy plays a key role in their extraordinary success!"

Chris Powell said that people should have carb curfews, where his participants in the show never consume carb after dark. A person should have a high-protein, high-fat meal with plenty of fibrous veggies for dinner, and for a post-dinner snack, it's better to have protein-rich, high-fat foods like almonds or 2% milk-fat string cheese. For a reason that, cutting down carbs at night, flips the fat-burning switch by increasing the amount of fat-burning hormones released while a person is asleep.

Powell also said that a person should be conscious about the time where a person should have at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity a week.

Chris stated that the preparation of a meal is everything, he said, "Prep your meals in advance, and always have a ready-to-eat healthy snack foods with you," as Chris Powell suggested, a person should bulk-prep their proteins (chicken, turkey, fish) and starches (potatoes, whole-wheat rice and noodles) every four days and store them in plastic containers.

Chris Powell said, "You'll never catch us without almonds in our bags! They're filled with healthy, satiating fats and protein and don't need to be refrigerated, so they're really easy."
