Jared Fogle: Former Subway Spokesman To Plead Guilty To Child Pornography Charges

After an ongoing federal investigation, Subway's disgraced former spokesman Jared Fogle is preparing to plead guilty to child pornography charges amid a sexual abuse probe by the FBI, according to reports.

The 37-year-old, who is yet to be arrested or charged in the case but has been subpoenaed as part of the investigation, will accept a plea deal.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office will hold a press conference on Aug. 18 to to discuss the plea deal and the charges against Jared, reports FOX59, who was just one of several Indianapolis outlets to report that he would plead guilty.

Jared’s attorney, Ron Elberger, had no comment to the outlets on the plea deal, but noted that Jared’s suspension with Subway continues.

The revelations come one month after feds executed a dawn raid on Fogle's home in Zionsville, Indiana, seizing electronic equipment. One month before that Fogle was arrested in Indianapolis on federal child pornography charges.

Documents seized as part of the investigation into the former executive, Russell Taylor, claim Fogle bragged to a business colleague about having 'amazing' sex with a 16-year-old girl.

The female franchisee wrote: “Is this the same website you found that 16 year old you that you f—ed? I still can’t believe you only paid $100 for her.”

Jared responded: “It was amazing!!!!”

In a series of texts he told the female franchisee to advertise herself on Craigslist for sex.

Business Insider acquired an affidavit of the alleged texts between Jared and the female franchisee, whom he was having a sexual relationship with.

The former franchisee reportedly shared the texts with Subway’s management after growing concerned over Jared’s pushy behavior to advertise herself for sex.

Subway’s management cut all ties with Jared following the raid of his home. Jared’s claim to fame came after a story was published about his massive weight loss after eating Subway sandwiches.
