‘The X-Files' Revival Casts Vik Sahay from ‘Chuck’

Here's another spoiler alert on 'The X-Files' as newly-added cast member, Vik Sahay, announces his part in the social media. Fox Mulder (played by David Duchovny) asks for help from the character played by Sahay.

He posts photos on social media, 'Keeping my fit on running in Vancouver, as I dip my acting self into this world for a sweet brief moment.'

Vik Sahay is Canadian with Indian descent, and was best known for the character he played, Lester Patel, for 5 seasons in NBC's the 'Chuck'. He also worked in other series, 'NCIS', 'Sean Saves the World', 'The Mentalist' and 'Bones'. He has a comedy film showing next year, 'Sharon 1.2.3'.

Sahay has a guest starring role in 'The X-Files Revival', which is set to be shown January next year. It will have 6 episodes every Monday. The old cast returns including Duchovny, Gillian Anderson (Dana Scully), Mitch Pileggi (Walter Skinner), Dean Haglund (Richard Langly), William B. Davis (Smoking Man), Tom Braidwood (Melvin Frohike), Bruce Harwood (John Fitzgerald Byers), Annabeth Gish (Monica Reyes) and Sheila Larken (Margaret Scully).

More spoiler alerts on 'The X-Files Revival', other newcomers in the cast are Joel McHale, Annet Mahendru, Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose, Rhys Darby and Kumail Nanjiani. Chris Carter, creator of the series, returns as the show's executive producer and writer.

The X-Files is a science fiction, drama, horror series that started in 1993, and ran up to 2002. The story is on unresolved crime cases that involve the paranormal, investigated by FBI special agents Fox Mulder (Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson). It was a hit Fox series that earned the show and the actors numerous nominations and awards. It is the longest-running science fiction series in US TV. It was so successful it had a spin-off, 'The Lone Gunmen', 2 films and merchandising products.
