Zayn Malik pissed off Taylor Swift fans everywhere when he slammed the 25-year-old hitmaker for taking her music off Spotify, but it was Taylor’s boyfriend, Calvin Harris who got heated up.
The 31-year-old DJ took to Twitter and fired shots right back at Zayn, and definitely stood up for his lady.
The whole thing started when Zayn retweeted a message praising Miley Cyrus for offering to release her next album for free because she doesn’t ‘need’ the money.
But in the tweet, Miley’s offer was compared to Taylor’s statement about how Spotify hurts an artists’ music sales. “The difference is astounding,” the original Twitter user pointed out, a view Zayn clearly made a point to agree with for him to retweet it.
Calvin Harris quickly took issue and stepped in to defend his girlfriend, leading to a Twitter war of words that quickly deteriorated.
The furious DJ wrote: "You've made your money? Cool... f*** the 99% of musicians who depend on these services to survive, right? Yeah f*** em."
@FemaleTexts @zaynmalik You've made your money? Cool...fuck the 99% of musicians who depend on these services to survive right? Yeah fuck em

"If you don't get what it means when a successful artist uses their celebrity to benefit every other musician and songwriter in the industry... then stay out of my f***ing mentions," he added.

Harris also said that those criticizing Swift didn't understand the issues at stake. Swift famously pulled her music off streaming service Spotify last year, saying they didn't fairly compensate artists.
Meanwhile, former One Direction star Malik hit back at Harris, saying he'd made an idiot out of himself by jumping to conclusions.
"@CalvinHarris ha you just made an absolute fool of yourself mate," adding that it had been a general statement, not a dig at Swift.

"@CalvinHarris you clearly don't understand what I just said either," and adding: "So I suggest you calm your knickers before them dentures fall out."
@CalvinHarris so i suggest you calm your knickers before them dentures fall out

Both musicians have since deleted many of the offending posts, although Zayn concluded with a strong message: "Oh and I write my own s*** d***head." Harris did end the exchange by telling Malik it was nothing personal, saying "best of luck, you've got a great voice."
@zaynmalik best of luck, genuinely. You've got a great voice — Calvin Harris (@CalvinHarris) August 17, 2015
Zayn Malik is not a fan of Perrie Edwards’ new gal pal Taylor Swift, after throwing shade at his ex on Twitter, Zayn went after Taylor next. It was just after Taylor showed her homage to Perrie by inviting Little Mix to join her on stage in California.
