Teen Choice Awards 2015 Winners

The Teen Choice Awards 2015 which was held on Sunday, August 16, featured a long line-up of big-named celebrities who have all lighted up the entertainment industry for teens over the previous year.

The awards night, particularly the handing off of surfboards to the winners was hosted by Josh Peck, Gina Rodriguez and Ludacris. The surfboards have been awarded to the best entertainers under music, television and film industries.

Under the category of "Best Male Group", One Direction stood out and brought home the Teen Choice 2015 surfboard. The nominees included Five Seconds of Summer, Fall Out Boy, Imagine Dragons, Maroon 5 and One Republic.

For the "Best Female Artist", Demi Lovato won the title, the rest of the nominees included Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Iggy Azalea and Taylor Swift.

The ginger-haired singer Ed Sheeran was awarded as the Best Male Artist and Nicki Minaj won the Best R&B/Hip Hop Artist award.

Heartthrob Josh Hutcherson stood out for the Sci-Fi/Fantasy and nominees included Channing Tatum, Chris Hemsworth, Liam Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr.

While the nominations from different categories really went through a tough fight, the "Movie Actress Award" appeared to have the closest fight with its big-named actresses on the line up.

The 'If I Stay' actress Chloe Grace Moretz was awarded as the Best Actress, besting against other nominees Kristen Stewart, Blake Lively, Britt Robertson, Reese Witherspoon and Felicity Jones.

From big screens to small screens, various actresses had also been enlisted as nominees, including Kerry Washington, Lucy Hale, Hayden Panettiere, Maia Mitchell and Cookie Lyon.

As for the 'Best Song From a Movie or TV show, Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again" for the Furious 7 was awarded as the Best Song and the track also won the best R&B/Hip Hop song award.
