Dane DeHaan Shines As James Dean In 'Life' Official UK Trailer [VIDEO]

Dane DeHaan has already shown his ability to transform into rebellious real-life icons, and the 'Chronicle' star will once again display his acting skills in the James Dean biopic 'Life.'

The young actor has already received critical acclaim for his portrayal of James Dean in 'Life' when the film when it premiered at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival in February. However, the movie has yet to be released in the US.

The trailer for 'Life' shows Dane DeHaan's performance and his uncanny resemblance to James Dean has definitely helped. An excerpt of the film's synopsis reads as follows:

"LIFE tells the story of photographer Dennis Stock [Robert Pattinson] who convinced a rebellious young actor on the cusp of stardom, James Dean [DeHaan] to allow him to shoot him for LIFE Magazine. The men take a trip from LA to Dean's hometown of Fairmont, Indiana, via Times Square, New York so that Stock could, in his words, capture Dean in all the environments that had 'affected and shaped the unique character.'"

The film also stars Ben Kingsley as Warner Bros. mogul Jack L. Warner, Joel Edgerton as Life's picture editor John G. Morris, Alessandra Mastronardi as actress Pier Angeli and Michael Therriault as director Elia Kazan. Kelly McCreary plays Eartha Kitt while Lauren Gallagher appears as Natalie Wood.

Dane DeHaan has worked in several films including 'Lawless,' 'Jack & Diane,' 'Metallica Through the Never' and 'Devil's Knot.' The actor played the young Lucien Carr in the critically-acclaimed drama 'Kill Your Darlings.' He is known for his portrayal of Harry Osborn in the 2014 sequel 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' and is set to star in the title role of Luc Besson's 2017 movie 'Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.'

'Life' is scheduled for release in the UK on September 25, and is due for a release in the US this fall.
