Fans of the hit TV series Shameless on Showtime would be glad to know that their favorite show is going to be back for its 6th season on January 17 of next year at 9pm.
For those who have not heard of this show yet, it is about a dysfunctional family trying to cope up with the reality of life and its hardships. The family is known as the Gallaghers. It was an adaptation from the UK TV series of the same title. The return of the hit series was announced by the network's President, David Nevins, earlier this week during the Television Critics Association (TCA) summer tour with the press.
The fifth season also ended with a cliffhanger wen Ian (played by Cameron Monaghan) broke u with Mickey (played by Noel Fisher), while Debbie (played by Emma Kenney) was last seen peeing on a stick and was looking pretty happy from what she found out after it. Fiona (played by Emmy Rossum) on the other hand was wondering if she really was not a bad person.
The new season will still be in Chicago's winter setting and everyone who has followed the show ever since day one would see how this dysfunctional family start to grow and learn on the many things that life is throwing at them. And since a lot of people would probably be wondering what would be next for the Ian and Mickey relationship, the producers have not really released a word from it yet, especially when Mickey is not exactly considered as a regular for the show's 6th season. However, based on the actor's tweets, it is looking like he will still be seen somewhere in the show.
Right after Shameless' season premiere will be another drama series, which is also from Showtime and it is bound to be a hit. This new series is called "Billions" and actor Paul Giamatti is the star of the show.
