Meghan Trainor Cancels 'MTrain' Tour Due To Vocal Cord Hemorrhage

Singer-songwriter and record producer, Meghan Trainor, has unfortunately cancelled her 'MTrain' tour in North America due to her vocal cord hemorrhage, according to reports.

On Tuesday, August 11, the 22-year old 'All About That Bass' singer shared the news on her Insagram page, where she told her supporters about her current condition and added that a surgery should be done to fix her vocal cords.

"To all my fans - I was being careful and taking precautions, but I have hemmorrage my vocal cord again. I got bronchitis & have been coughing a lot & that pudhed it over the edge," she wrote.

Trainor went on saying, "Sadly, I will need to cancel the remainder of my tour and get surgery to finally fix this once and for all. I am devastated, scared, and so sorry."

The singer, who had also previously cancelled a tour in early July due to the same reason, also told her fans that she loves to tour and meet new people and that she's determined to do whatever it takes to get her voice back.

"I love you, and thank you for all of your understanding, love and support," she added.

 

Trainor's 'MTrain' tour was supposed to take place through the month of September and her next venue was the Indiana State Fair on Saturday, August 15.

Besides apologizing to her fans and followers on social media, Trainor also did not miss out apologizing to her fellow artists, Charlie Purh and Life of Dillion, who were supposed to perform two opening numbers on her scheduled tour.

"I'm sorry to my amazing openers that we had to cut it short @charlieputh @lifeofdillon," she wrote on her Instagram page. "You guys put on great shows every night with big smiles and I will be forever grateful that you were a part of his experience, even though it was cut too soon. Thank you and your teams for everything."

Reports say that fans who have booked tickets in advance for the September tour will be refunded.
