Bon Appétit Declares SF The Best Food City In The Country

As per SFlist, it was only last week when Andrew Knowlton from Bon Appétit listed 12 of new San Francisco restaurants to his top 50 new spots around the country, giving it a tie with New York. San Francisco got two entries in this year's Hot 10 as Knowlton gave a special shout out when he said that the city is the best food city in the country stating: "I've been doing this professionally for several years now, and I don't think I've ever experienced such a concentration of exciting and invigorating restaurants in a single year, in a single season. Not even in New York.

Andrew Knowlton's enthusiastic decision in naming the city the best food city in the country is when Alan Richman a GQ food critic came over to Bay Area and saw that the city has a lot to offer when it comes to delectable cuisines, Knowlton then stated: "New York hasn't had much of a century, once you get past David Chang... Right now it's San Francisco, where restaurants of ambition and imagination are opening, something else is happening: A brand-new Northern California regional cuisine is coming to life."

Listed below is a sneak peek of two of the restaurants that made it to the Bon Appétit list [the list is compiled by Andrew Knowlton and Julia Kramer] as per SF Gate, the HOT 10 However would be posted on August 18.
