'Prison Break' Update: Which Inmate Should Join Michael Scofield And Lincoln Burrows For The Revival?

In the new tradition where TV shows from the early 2000s are getting a remake, the hit Fox series 'Prison Break' will be returning with its two main characters.

TV Line has reported in June that the show will be brought back in 2016 as a 10-episode miniseries, with Wentworth Miller returning as the brilliant Michael Scofield and Dominic Purcell reprising his role as the tough older brother Lincoln Burrows.

The 'Prison Break' revival will also bring back original showrunner Paul Scheuring, and Fox CEO Dana Walden believes that the return of all three would make the new series work.

"I would say to those fans, 'This is the pure vision of the creator of the show,'" she said. "It's going to take a little detour from where we left off, but it should feel very satisfying."

However, the one thing that all the fans want to know now is, "Who else would return for the 'Prison Break' revival?"

An obvious candidate for the reboot would be Michael Scofield's beloved wife Sara Tancredi, played by former 'The Walking Dead' star Sarah Wayne Callies. The character has a pivotal role as being the mother of Scofield's son and Paul Scheuring's plans for the remake involves the development in the couple's relationship.

Another character who could return is Michael Scofield's prison buddy Fernando Sucre, who was portrayed by Amaury Nolasco. Sucre may have been always pining for his girl Maricruz, but he was also the most loyal companion Scofield had since the first season. Nolasco might not be one of the regulars, but there is a huge possibility that he will make an appearance.

The one character who has appeared in all four seasons of 'Prison Break' is the creepy Theodore 'T-Bag' Bagwell, played with wicked relish by David Knepper. T-Bag is just as essential to 'Prison Break' as Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows, so even if Knepper is a very busy actor, he would need to make time for the revival.

'Prison Break' returns to Fox in 2016.
