'Doctor Who' Update: Is David Tennant Filming A Special Scene With Peter Capaldi?

It looks like the Tenth Doctor is paying the new Doctor a visit on the set of 'Doctor Who!'

There have been numerous reports of David Tennant sightings all over Cardiff where the new season of 'Doctor Who' is currently filming. Seeing the Tenth Doctor around town wouldn't seem like much of a big deal, however Tennant has been seen with original showrunner Russell T. Davis.

Mirror UK reports that David Tennant could be filming an appearance for 'Doctor Who,' which could finally shed some light on the episode where the Twelfth Doctor stops and ponders why he chose his current face.

In the episode 'Deep Breath,' the Twelfth Doctor (Peter Capaldi) says to the tramp, "Why did I choose this face? It's like I'm trying to tell myself something." The Time Lord has obviously recognized that he is wearing the face of Lucius Caecilius Iucundus, who was played by Peter Capaldi in the Season Four episode 'The Fires of Pompeii.'

Current showrunner Steven Moffatt has previously confirmed through the 'Doctor Who Magazine' that the scene will be tackled in the new season, however he did not elaborate on how it will happen.

There are several speculations that 'The Fires of Pompeii' will be revisited with fresh footage of David Tennant as the Doctor's tenth incarnation.

However, some fans are also wondering if David Tennant and Russell B. Davis are in Cardiff to film another 'Doctor Who' featuring the recent incarnations of the Time Lord. Tennant has previously joined Peter Capaldi and the Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith in the 50th anniversary special.

It has been reported that there could be another anniversary special celebrating the tenth year of the 'Doctor Who' reboot.

It is still unclear whether David Tennant will have a cameo in the upcoming season of 'Doctor Who,' but the actor is sure to appear in Netflix's 'AKA Jessica Jones' that will air by the end of the year.
