Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed, who tied the knot in late April this year, seem to always find some time off amid their busy schedules. The couple, who definitely enjoys traveling and hitting adventures together, have indulged in another escapade as they went to a lake during the weekend, according to MTV.
The young couple did not miss out in updating their social media accounts with a few beautiful photos from their weekend escapade.
The 36-year old 'The Vampire Diaries' actor first posted a photo of himself on his Instagram page, half-naked alongside his bikini-clad wife and their beloved dog Ira.
"Lake time with part of my little family... Smiling is truly one of the keys to life I'm convinced. Hope you smile today - it's good to do," he captioned the photo.

As seen in the seemingly quick-taken photo, they looked like they have just enjoyed a dip into the waters as Nikki and Ian posed with their hair all wet and Nikki wrapping herself with a towel while sporting her white bikini.
On the other hand, during the same day, actress and musician Nikki Reed also shared one romantic photo on her Instagram page, a black and white photo of herself, tightly embraced by her husband.
"Me and my human. Hugs can have a really beautiful effect. I met a little girl at the airport today, and we spoke about the importance of talking, hugging, engaging and connecting.", she wrote.

Nikki, 27, went on to say that not being too engrossed on a mobile device is 'pretty cool stuff'. "I have that same convo with my little brother all the time. Remembering how to be human. Together.", she said.
The couple who are recently rumored to be having some issues with Somerhalder's ex-girlfriend of three years, Nina Dobrev, seem to appear exactly the opposite as they have obviously made no secret about their love for each other.
In an interview, Somerhalder referred to his wife as the sexiest thing he sees as soon as he wakes up and opens his eyes in the morning. He even added, "The most beautiful human being in the world. I'm the luckiest man on the planet."
Nina Dobrev has also been spotted enjoying time with her new boyfriend, Austin Stowell, so any rumors of her and Somerhalder seem to be invalid.
Nikki Reed has just joined the TV show 'Sleepy Hollow,' playing the role of Betsy Ross, and Ian Somerhalder has also indicated his return as Damon Salvatore on the 7th season of 'The Vampire Diaries'.
