Valerie Bertinelli Weight Loss: Eddie Van Halen’s Ex Joins Food Network After Losing 40lbs With Jenny Craig Program

Known for her roles in beloved shows like "Touched by an Angel" and most recently TV Land's "Hot In Cleveland" alongside legendary comedienne Betty White, Valerie Bertinelli's weight loss back in 2009 still keeps her on headlines - so much that it made her land a television show in the Food Network!

Six years ago, Valerie Bertinelli's weight loss through the Jenny Craig program put her in headlines all over the country, as she became one of its spokespeople alongside Kirstey Alley, though these days she's gained some of he weight back - but she refuses to go crazy looking at scales and counting calories.

According to Entertainment Tonight Online, following Valerie Bertinelli's weight loss (when she shed 40 pounds), the actress gained 15 of those back, but these days she's more at ease with the way she looks, saying that while she knows it's going to continue to be a struggle as it has been for the better part of her life, there's no point in obsessing over her weight fluctuations.

"It's always going to be a struggle for me for my entire life," the actress explained, speaking about Valerie Bertinelli's weight loss. "I'm going to have up days and down days."

The Inquisitr reports that there's a really great reason behind the fact that Bertinelli's gained back a few pounds: a few weeks back, she broke her foot, making it impossible for her to work out - and undoubtedly she has every right to take things easy while she heals!

In any case, well beyond Valerie Bertinelli's weight loss, Variety reports that the actress has often shared her passion for cooking, even publishing a book, "One Dish At A Time," about growing up in an Italian-American household and the food involved in this scenario.
