After a three-year engagement, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux finally tied the knot in a surprise wedding ceremony on Wednesday night.
The couple said their "I do's" at the backyard of their $21 million Bel-air mansion in front of attendees who mostly thought the celebration is for Theroux's 44th birthday, which is on August 10.
Aniston, who planned the whole night, only told few of her closest friends about the secret wedding months in advance.
"It was done completely on the sly," an insider told Us Magazine. "It was their closest friends and very simple and intimate. There were lots of laughs as well as tears and the mood was light."
Hollywood photographer and close pal Terry Richardson covered the wedding party, while Sia serenaded the newlyweds with her hit "Chandelier."
US Magazine added that Theroux's long-time friend Jennifer Meyer designed the couple's wedding bands.
Another insider added the attendees feasted on delicious dishes such as mostaccioli pasta with red sauce, fettuccine carbonara with pork, chicken, fish, and sausages. "It was really, really good," the source shared saying the vanilla and strawberry "cake was delicious!"
Among the A-list attendees were friends Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Chelsea Handler, Ellen DeGeneres, Jimmy Kimmel, Emily Blunt, Howard Stern, Scott Campbell, and Lake Bell among others.
"The last guest to leave was Courteney," an observer told People Magazine. "She left right after Ellen Degeneres and Jimmy Kimmel. She left around 3 a.m. At 2 a.m. they still had the music pretty loud."
The newlyweds then jetted off to Bora Bora with some friends for their honeymoon the next day.
Aniston and Theroux got engaged in August 2012, and the 'Cake' actress hasn't stopped gushing about her now-husband since.
"He's the easiest guy to hang around. He was so completely in his skin. It was the first time I remember being so comfortable [with a romantic interest], like with all my gay friends," she told The Hollywood Reporter in January.
"He's just so beautiful and handsome to me, and I love that his eyeballs are so beautifully captured because those eyes just knock me out every day."
