After a three-year engagement that survived months worth of celebrity rumors, it was about time Jennifer Aniston married Justin Theroux, the HBO "The Leftovers" actor with whom she's been since 2011 - and the whole thing was so hush-hush the media didn't even know of any plans!
In fact, the wedding was a huge surprise for everyone, even the more than 70 guests invited to it who were told they were dropping by the couple's house to celebrate Theroux's birthday - only to see Jennifer Aniston married to the 43 year-old actor!
According to People Magazine, sources close to the couple have confirmed that Jennifer Aniston married Theroux last Wednesday at their Bel Air home, when the two actors tied the knot only a few days ahead of Theroux's 44th birthday next August 10, and they were accompanied by a few of their closest friends and family members.
E! Online reports that, in spite of the fact that the ceremony where Jennifer Aniston married Theroux being a smaller affair, it was still plagued with celebrities of the like of Ellen DeGeneres, John Krasinski and wife Emily Blunt, Chelsea Handler, Aniston's "Friends" co-star Lisa Kudrow and even celebrity radio host Howard Stern.
Details have yet to emerge about whether there were other "Friends" co-stars in attendance, as Aniston is famously very close friends with Courteney Cox - and only a few days back, Matt LeBlanc's father said his son and Aniston had a fling when she was still married to Brad Pitt.
According to Us Weekly, friends of the pair had been expecting a surprise wedding for a while, with DeGeneres joking about it and Sacha Baron-Cohen and wife Isla Fisher reportedly dressing up for four parties in a row thinking one might be their wedding.
Fifteen years after Jennifer Aniston married Pitt, the actress has finally walked down the aisle again, one year after her ex married longtime partner Angelina Jolie in a secret ceremony last summer.
In any case, hooray now that Jennifer Aniston married Justin Theroux!
