J.K. Rowling's 'Harry Potter' spinoff has just found a new wizard!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, 'True Detective' star Colin Farrell has just joined the cast of 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.' The Irish actor will play a wizard named Graves, who is one of the magical beings that Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) meets in his trip to New York.
Colin Farrell made his film debut in the 1999 film 'The War Zone.' Since then, he has appeared in several movies including 'Phone Booth,' 'The Recruit,' 'Minority Report,' 'Alexander' and 'The New World.' His most recent film project is the film adaptation of the Mark Helprin novel 'Winter's Tale.'
Farrell is currently working on the HBO crime series 'True Detective.'

Prior to Colin Farrell, 'Fantastic Beasts' also gained a non-magical character in Dan Fogler. The 'Secrets and Lies' star will portray a Muggle named Jacob.
Although the characters of the 'Fantastic Beasts' actors have already been confirmed, fans are still waiting for J.K. Rowling to announce the name of Ezra Miller's character. It was previously reported that the 'Stanford Prison Experiment' star is in talks to play "Kredan," but Rowling tweeted that the character is "quite literally nobody. They got the name wrong!"
Ezra Miller seems to be as confused as to which character he will be playing in the film. In an interview with Complex, he reached out to the producers of 'Fantastic Beasts.'
"If you're reading this article right now, please let me know if I am in your film," Miller said. "Could I see the script, what is my character... these are things I'd like to know."
