Ashley Tisdale, Avril Lavigne and Chinese singer G.E.M will be lending their musical talents to the upcoming animated theatrical film 'Charming', where they will be joining the pop star Demi Lovato, who was cast for the female lead role of 'Lenore', according to reports.
'Charming' is an animated comedy film directed by Ross Venokur, which recreates the popular stories of the three princesses Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White, with its unique plot twist where all of them would end up engaging themselves to only one Prince Charming.
Movie producer, John H. Williams, who also co-produced the popular animated movie 'Shrek', has released a statement on Wednesday, August 5, saying that "Demi, Avril, Ashley and G.E.M are among the most popular young stars in the global entertainment arena."
Avril Lavigne will dub Snow White's character, High School Musical's Ashley Tisdale will voice for Cinderella's character and Gloria Tang Tsz-kei, famously known as G.E.M among her Chinese fans, will be showing off her acting skills by bringing the role of Sleeping Beauty to life.
While the casting of the Prince Charming's character remains unknown to the public, but the film producers said that it will be revealed soon once they find the one.
The project was first announced in September of last year and will be a collaboration between the film producers, Henry Skelsey's and John H. Williams, and the Vanguard Animation.
Demi Lovato, who just debuted her new album 'Cool for the Summer', has appeared in several movies and was formerly a Disney channel star. While Avril Lavigne on the other hand, who's best known for her reputation as the 'pop punk princess' in the music industry, has recently admitted that her next goal in life is filmmaking.
The estimated budget for the movie is reportedly at least $20 million and the film production is still underway at the new animation studio Cinesite in Montreal, Canada.
