Apple held a launch event on October 23, showing the all-new iPad mini. The price in USA, which starts at $329, is displayed below. In comparison, base model price for the iPad mini is 65% higher than Google Nexus 7 and Amazon Kindle Fire HD. The event was live streamed from Apple's website, with Tim Cook and Phil Schiller presenting.
Apple also introduced product refreshes including a 4th generation iPad with Retina display, a 13" Macbook Pro with Retina display, a new iMac and new Mac mini, and a new iBooks application.
Pre-order for the iPad mini is available from October 26. Prices for the 64 GB models are $529 for the Wi-Fi only version and $659 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular version. The iPad mini sports a 7.9" screen, which can be held in one hand.
In comparison, Google's Nexus 7 and Amazon's Kindle Fire HD start at $199.
