Zooey Deschanel Gives Birth To Baby Girl, Secretly Married Jacob Pechenik?

Zooey Deschanel is the latest Hollywood star to become a mommy. The quirky actress and Jacob Pechenik welcomed their new bundle of joy — a baby girl — last week, a new report claims.

Zooey has officially started two new roles — mommy and wife! Zooey, who secretly married her fiance, according to E! News, also gave birth to their baby girl in Austin, Texas, where Jacob, a movie producer, is based, Page Six claims.

"I am thrilled to confirm that Zooey Deschanel and her husband, Jacob Pechenik, are new parents to a beautiful healthy baby girl," the actress' rep tells in a statement, confirming that Deschanel also secretly wed Pechenik. According to court records, the pair wed on June 21 in Texas.

Zooey Deschanel and Jacob started dating last year after meeting on a movie set. They announced their engagement in January after it was revealed she was expecting their first child together.

The couple chose to keep their baby's gender a secret while expecting. "It's more fun," Zooey Deschanel said. "Make it into a game!"

One thing Deschanel was certain on was her disdain for her pregnancy diet. "You can't have sushi. You can't have cheese that tastes good," she explained during a Jimmy Kimmel appearance this spring. "You can have a little bit [of coffee], but I would have, like, four cups a day. And now I can have a half cup, which is a joke! It's a total joke!"

Zooey Deschanel may be very conscious with her diet but she previously warned everyboy not to expect to see her in a bikini anytime soon.

“Haven’t we all seen those pictures of a sexy new mom in a bikini after one month? I will not be that person,” Zooey told Cosmopolitan back in May. “I’ve always gone my own course and never been someone who had the need to be super skinny.”
