'Tiger Woods' New Restaurant Opens In August; Restauranteur Next Phase Of Golfer’s Career?

Tiger Woods' new restaurant, the Woods Jupiter, has been slated to open mid-August at Harbourside Place in Jupiter, Florida.

It appears that entrepreneurship is the next phase for the golfer's career, what with his split with Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn and PGA tour struggles giving him more time to focus on other things.

Tiger Woods' new restaurant will reportedly be considered a sports and dining club located in an entertainment complex.

Woods decided to put up the restaurant since he wanted a place to hang out. He conceived the idea of constructing the restaurant in the area because he calls Jupiter, Florida his home.

"I envision a place where people can meet friends, watch sports on TV and enjoy a great meal," Tiger Woods said in a statement. "I wanted to build it locally where I live and where it could help support the community."

In an interview with the Palm Beach Post, developer Nick Mastroianni II said the Woods Jupiter will consist of outdoor dining and a valet roundabout.

"I couldn't be more excited to have Tiger's new establishment operating within Harbourside Place," said Mastroianni, who is president and CEO of Allied Capital & Development of South Florida. "It's gratifying to see the final stages met with support from local, national and international organizations such as Mr. Woods."

Measuring 8,000 square feet, Tiger Woods' new restaurant was initially set to open in January, then the date was moved to April, and now mid-August after the Woods Jupiter passed its initial inspection and received its temporary liquor license this week.

The restaurant's website and phone number has not yet been revealed, but reports say Woods' people already own the URL thewoodsjupiter.com.

The menu mainly consists of American cuisine. However, the full menu and price range are still kept  under wraps, according to Gossip Extra.

Tiger Woods' new restaurant is the golfer's first major and public entrepreneurial investment. Since according to Golf, the eatery is something Woods can control unlike his energy-drink start-up Fuse Science, it now seems more likely that Woods is headed for entrepreneurship.

The 39-year-old is also planning to move Tiger Woods Design, a brand which designs golf courses and sells merchandise with the golfer's brand, to his international headquarters in downtown Jupiter, according to The Inquisitr.

As of the moment, Tiger Woods appears to be hiring, as a sign has been put up on the restaurants door. On his website, an ad also says they are hiring for all positions.
