Ted Nugent on the Killing of Cecil the Lion: 'This Whole Story is a Lie'

Last July 6, 2015, the world was shaken as animal rights activist, conservationist and animal lovers got enraged over the death of Cecil-- Africa's well-loved and famous lion.

Cecil died a tragic death after being chased by a bow and arrow just a few miles outside the conservation area, and lured outside the reserve. Breaking news then emerged when the hunter was identified, namely Walter Palmer, an American Dentist who paid the guides responsible for Cecil's killing.

Days have passed and countless news have been emerging everywhere regarding the tragic event, and social media has been under a gloomy storm after Cecil's supporters and animal lovers vented out their disgust and hate towards the hunter. Although everybody posted hate comments-- even as far as death threats-- one person made it to the headlines supporting Palmer.

Ted Nugent, a political activist, musician, singer, song writer and is a well-known hunter, made a statement and was enraged over the fact that people are over acting over what happened. Out of all the haters he stood his ground in defending Walter Palmer, which caused another stir in social as reported in Daily Mail.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, Ted Nugent stated that "the whole story was a lie, God people are stupid" . Out for frustration the then stated that "It was a wild lion from a 'park' where hunting is legal & ESSENTIAL beyond the park borders." Later on adding "All animals reproduce every year & would run out of room/food to live w/o hunting. I will write a full piece on this joke asap. God are people stupid."

Walter is currently facing charges after the killing. He has since made a public apology regarding what happened after receiving death threats and countless rallies against him.
