'Spider-Man' Update: Tom Holland's Peter Parker May Be Fighting Jason Biggs And Billy Zane [SPOILERS]

Marvel and Sony remain to be extremely secretive about the 'Spider-Man' standalone movie. So far, the only things confirmed about the film is the new Peter Parker will be played by Tom Holland, and that the movie will be directed by Jon Watts.

The 'Spider-Man' film has also found its Aunt May in Academy Award winner Marisa Tomei, while there are speculations that members of the Avengers will pop in to check on the new Spidey. However, there have been no updates on which villains Tom Holland will be up against in his new movie.

Latino-Review has come across an alleged Spider-Man cast and character list posted on Imgur. The image lists three main characters as well as the supporting cast, most of which are still in negotiations to appear in the movie.

The list confirms that Marisa Tomei will portray Aunt May and Robert Downey Jr. will make an appearance as Tony Stark/Iron Man. It also shows that Jason Biggs and Billy Zane are in final negotiations to play Mac Gargan/Scorpion and Adrian Toomes/The Vulture, respectively.

In addition to that, the picture also reveals that Hugh Laurie might appear as J. Jonah Jameson. Rachel G. Fox might portray Mary Jane Watson while Timothée Chalamet could play Harry Osborn.

It is important to point out that the list could be a fake, and that the information must be taken with more than just a grain of salt. Marvel and Sony have no comment on the casting.

Jon Watts recently discussed his plans for the new 'Spider-Man' film, where he praised Tom Holland.

"[Tom] can be a real high school student," he told Coming Soon. "That's why people love Spider-Man. He's the most grounded, relatable of superheroes. And Tom can really do that. He captures that. And he can do a standing back-flip. He's perfect."

The new 'Spider-Man' film is scheduled for release on July 28, 2017.
