Angelina Jolie Boasts about Maddox’s Part-time Job

Maddox Jolie-Pitt, turning 14 soon, is the eldest of the Jolie-Pitt brood of 6. In a recent interview with Associated Press, proud mother, Angelina Jolie talked about her next directorial job for Netflix, the original film 'First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers'. It is based on the book of Loung Ung, during the Cambodian Genocide in the 1970's under the terror regime of the Khmer Rouge. Fittingly enough, Maddox, who is from Cambodia, is helping out as his mother's right hand after school during the filming, set to start in November.

The matriarch of the clan explains, 'he is my son but he is also a son of Cambodia. This is the time for our family to understand all that means to him and to us.'

This is not Maddox's first job. He also helped out as production assistant in the romantic drama, 'By the Sea', which Jolie wrote and starred in with husband, Brad Pitt. Maddox has also been involved and exposed to the Maddox Jolie - Pitt Foundation, which is obviously named after him. Jolie established this in 2003 'to help local families overcome problems associated with poverty in the region and to help preserve the remarkable habitat and wildlife for future generations.' His mom intends to have the young teener take over the reins when he is old enough.

Like any other good-looking young men, Maddox has a girlfriend who lives England. The family supports him by travelling there as often as they can to give them quality time together. Jolie is quoted saying, 'she's great. I won't embarrass him. She's lovely. She lives in England. She's very cool.'

Angelina Jolie adopted Maddox in 2002 when he was only 7 months old, from an orphanage in Cambodia. In 2005, she got Zahara, 6 months old, from Ethiopia. Then she and Brad Pitt had their very own child, Shiloh, in 2006. The year after, they adopted 3-year old Pax from Vietnam. In 2008, they had their twin babies, Knox and Vivienne.
