In what seems the most awkward out of all the Cara Delevingne interviews of all time, hosts from a California morning talk show referred to the model and actress as "moody" and advised her to "take a little nap" or have some Red Bull to wake herself up.
It seems like awkward interview season is not yet over for some of the biggest stars in the world, after "Iron Man" actor Robert Downey Jr. famously stormed out of an interview last spring, with Amy Schumer going through a similar ordeal a few days back - and now it's a Cara Delevingne interview making headlines.
According to The Guardian, the Cara Delevingne interview that went viral this week saw the supermodel promoting her latest film, the teen romance "Paper Towns," through a satellite call to "Good Day Sacramento," when anchors introduced her as "Carla" Delevingne, a first look to how awkward the short interview would be.
Describing the Cara Delevingne interview as "cringey," New York Magazine reports that the second strike after calling her "Carla" was when the anchors condescendingly asked her whether she'd read the John Green novel the film was based in, to which she sarcastically replied that she'd read neither the book nor the script and had just "winged it."
Later, things continued to get awkward when hosts Marianne McClary and Mark S. Allen commented she seemed a little "exhausted" and "irritated," to which Delevingne replied it was just them, prompting them to cut the interview short as Allen ended the segment advising the "Suicide Squad" actress to "get a Red Bull" or "take a little nap."
As she cut off, Delevingne could be heard saying "enough, too far."
After the Cara Delevingne interview was done, The Daily Mail reports the anchors continued to talk about her, calling her "moody."
"You make five million dollars for six weeks worth of work, you can pretend to talk to Good Day Sacramento with some oomph," Allen said.
