Nighttime talk show host Conan O'Brien is in the middle of a lawsuit, as a twitter user from San Diego is pressing charges against him for allegedly stealing jokes.
Hindustan Times reported that Robert Alexander Kaseberg is the man who is filing the case against O'brien for stealing his joke materials from his Twitter account. Kaseberg argued that the talk show host even used his jokes as a material on his show's monologues.
On February 3, Kaseberg posted on his Twitter that, "Tom Brady is going to give his MVP truck to the guy who won the game for the Patriots. So enjoy that truck, Pete Carroll."
The host was then caught using the same material on his show saying, "Tom Brady said he wants to give the truck he was given as the Super Bowl MVP to the guy who won the Super Bowl for the Patriots. So Brady is giving his truck to Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll."
Hindustan Times added that Kaseberg once again tweeted something that O'Brien used when posted, "Washington Monument is 10 inches shorter than previously thought. You know the winter has been rough when a monument suffers from shrinkage."
The host then used the words, "Surveyors announced that the Washington Monument is 10 inches shorter than what's been recorded. Of course, the monument is blaming the shrinkage on the cold weather," as his material on that same day Kaseberg posted it.
The Hollywood Reporter also got a hold of the Twitter user's complain. Conan's camp believe that there is no merit to this charges filed against to O'brien. This charge however, rose in the middle of an issue regarding the topic of stealing jokes off of Twitter. There were actually jokes taken from social media that were asked to be removed by companies in mainstream media who used them on their show.
