Lead vocalist of the American rock band 'Puddle of Mudd', Wes Scantlin, was arrested around the area of Minnesota on Sunday, July 26, for driving under the influence of alcohol, according to reports.

An officer on duty from the Renville County Sheriff's Department caught a vehicle traveling with an above speed limit of 30 kilometers per hour at the Highway 112. Reports say that following the detected 30kph speed of the vehicle, it apparently reached as fast as 100 miles per hour.

As the singer slowed down and later stopped his vehicle, the arresting officer walked in and he noticed that Scantlin was slurring like a drunk man while speaking to him.

Besides reckless driving, the officer added that Scantlin had a strong smell of alcohol from his mouth and he reportedly had a "very watery and bloodshot eyes".

Scantlin, was asked for a breath sample which eventually showed that the singer had obtained a blood-alcohol level equivalent to 0.310.

He was charged with DUI and running after a police officer who was in a motor vehicle. The officer also said that Scantlin would have to face additional charges after he reportedly refused to take further tests as they arrived at the police station.

In 2012, the 43-year old rock star was also arrested after he was caught by one flight attendant drinking alcohol while flying.

Prior to Scantlin's recent arrest, the 'Blurry' singer has also pleaded guilty with cocaine possession charges a couple of months earlier.
