Monaco Royal Wedding Details: Pierre Casiraghi Marries Italian Heiress Beatrice Borromeo

In Monaco, Pierre Casiraghi, the seventh in line to the throne, married Italian heiress Beatrice Borromeo in a royal wedding at the Pink Palace on Saturday, PEOPLE reports.

The 27-year-old groom was dashing in his double-breasted suit while the 29-year-old bride looked stylish in an elegant non-traditional pale pink Valentino Haute Couture dress with gold chiffon lace. The model-turned-journalist completed her bridal look with flowers on her hair, carrying a rustic bouquet.

After tying the knot in a civil ceremony officiated by Monaco's Justice Minister Philippe Narmino, the married couple stepped out at the balcony for the photo op where they looked all amore, gazing at each other's eyes.

With 500 guests which consisted of the bride and groom's family and friends, including mother Princess Caroline and uncle Prince Albert, the ceremony was followed by a fun carnival cavagnëtu personally organized by Prince Albert.

"It's the Monégasque equivalent of a picnic, though we won't have submarine sandwiches or hamburgers or hot dogs," he previously told PEOPLE. "Well, maybe hot dogs," he laughed.

"It's going to be a summer garden party, a finger-foods-for-lunch thing with buffet tables and drinks, there'll be places for guests to sit, but it's going to be mostly informal," he added. "There'll be some local folklore dancers. And music. And, we'll play some pétanque."

The prince shared his excitement saying, "it's a light fete and I will give a toast. I'll try and keep it short and not bore everybody, have them feel I ran on and on," which he thinks "will be hard because I really like both Pierre and Beatrice."

The wedding celebrations will continue next weekend in a religious ceremony at Italy's Lake Maggiore, which will be followed by an intimate afternoon summer party at the bride's family's private islands.

The bride, whose family has a close relationship with the House of Valentino, will still be wearing another Valentino dress just like her sisters during their own weddings.
