Bryan Singer continues to tease fans with his cryptic Instagram pictures.
The 'X-Men: Apocalypse' director has posted several photos on Instagram that hinted on several scenes in the film, including a possible Caliban appearance and Storm's backstory.
Bryan Singer's Instagram has striked again, and this time it hints on another Professor X appearance! The director has just posted a picture of himself with veteran actor Patrick Stewart and director Jason Reitman on the set of 'X-Men: Apocalypse.'
"Trying to look intensely thoughtful, @sirpatstew and #jasonreitman visiting #xmen #apocalypse #xmenapocalypse set and reminiscing about our own #daysoffuturepast," he wrote.
The caption also offered a clue as to what they would be up to after shooting. "Looking forward to "jasonreitmanlivereading tonight of #biglebowski with #michaelfassbender as "The Dude!""
Patrick Stewart has previously confirmed that he will no longer portray Professor X in 'X-Men: Apocalypse,' saying that Ian McKellen, who played Magneto in the previous films will not be in the movie as well.
"I was learning quite a lot more about it last night, and it is going to be looking very much at the earlier lives of all our characters. And so I don't think we'll be making an appearance," he said.
Ian McKellen has also confirmed he will not be in 'X-Men: Apocalypse' and joked about letting the new Magneto take over. "Michael Fassbender probably couldn't get any work, so we let him do it," he said.
Although the two actors keep denying rumors of a possible cameo, Bryan Singer's Instagram picture has once again sparked new hope in fans who are hoping to see Patrick Stewart reprise his role as Professor X.
'X-Men: Apocalypse' stars James McAvoy as Professor X and Michael Fassbender as Magneto. Jennifer Lawrence will return as Mystique while Nicholas Hoult will reprise his role as Beast. The film will be released on May 27, 2016.
