One Direction has really been going through a lot of hard things lately, but it didn't stop them from celebrating their fifth year in the music business.
Following Harry Styles's warm thank you tweets to fans on Thursday, July 23, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik have also exchanged tweets on Twitter, proving that there's really no bad blood between the remaining members of 1D and Malik, who left the boy band to pursue a solo career.
Liam sent his message on Twitter, thanking his 1D brothers, Louis, Harry, Niall and Zayn for the five amazing years.
"Wowwww 5 years 5 boys what an amazing journey I couldn't thank you all ever enough and thank you Louis, Niall, Harry and Zayn for everything.", Liam wrote.

Zayn Malik, who of course saw Liam's tweet, retweeted the post and replied "thanks bro !" with a happy-faced emoticon alongside his tweet.
@Real_Liam_Payne thanks bro !
This exchange of tweets between the two has elated many of their fans and they praised Liam for always including Malik, despite the fact that he is no longer part of One Direction.
Niall on the other hand, also did not miss out making his own shoutout on Twitter.
He wrote, "5 years, literally sitting down talking about last night. Insane! I remember the day we were out together like it was yesterday!"

Niall also did not forget to mention their fans and wished that they could thank all of them. "Thank you so much for what you've done for us so far, what an incredible journey it's been, wish we could thank you all.", he wrote. "You guys have changed our lives and we all love you so much! Best fans on the planet, easy!"

Even the soon-to-be a father, Louis Tomlinson, who has been fairly quiet on social media, also joined his boys on Twitter, saying "Every single day we are thankful for the platform that you incredible people gave us. What an amazing 5 years it's been!!"
One Direction had debuted all their first four albums at the No.1 spot in Billboard 200 and the band was able to sell out a total of 6.6 million copies across the United States.
