Angelina Jolie Pitt will Direct Netflix Project - “First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers”

Angelina Jolie Pitt will direct the "First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers," which is a project of an American provider of on-demand Internet streaming media - Netflix. Jolie Pitt also said, "It deepened forever my understanding of how children experience war and are affected by the emotional memory of it. And it helped me draw closer still to the people of Cambodia, my son's homeland. It is a dream come true to be able to adapt this book for the screen, and I'm honored to work alongside Lung and filmmaker Rithy Panh."

The film will be released in Khmer and English and Jolie Pitt's desire to partner with Netflix was the company's major factor in global reach.
