'Game of Thrones' is flying high with an astounding 24 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama for Peter Dinklage.
There are two 'Game of Thrones' actresses are currently vying for the Supporting Actress Award, one of which is Emilia Clarke, who portrays Daenerys Targaryen. The other actress is the brilliant Lena Headey, who has played Cersei Lannister for almost five years.
Headey recently spoke to Wall Street Journal and she admits she wasn't expecting the nomination.
"No, it's a surprise," she said. "Everybody's like, 'This will happen, this will happen,' and you're like, 'Well, you never know, you never know.' It's sort of sinking in still."

This is Headey's second Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress, and she confirms that the nod is indeed rewarding.
"It obviously feels very lovely to be recognized for work that you've done," she said. "So, yes, I guess in a sense, although you never go into it thinking anything other than, 'I just want to do Dave and Dan's work.'"
Headey also addressed the idea that the nomination was due to Cersei's walk of shame, which she shared with her body double. She admitted that although it was a difficult scene, she enjoyed it.
"This is where I knew Cersei was going to, so to get there finally and break her down and have that moment, I loved every minute of it," Headey said. "It was tough. I loved that. I love a challenge. To remain emotionally focused in the midst of that three-day marathon ... it was good to be recognized for that."
So what's in store for Cersei in Season Six?
"I don't think she's incredibly happy," Headey said. "I don't think she likes very many people, even less than before, if that's even possible. She's made more enemies." She adds, "I think she's in a state of pure vengeance, but I don't think it's going to be straightforward because it's her. It is exciting, if I don't die."
