Paul Rudd the star of the movie Ant-Man, on Tuesday, showed he has a giant-sized heart, even when he portrays the character of the tiniest superhero of Marvel. Paul Rudd made a surprising appearance in the New York Daily News and Disney Studios' special screening of the latest Marvel Studios superhero film Ant- Man where the special screening had an auditorium full of kids from a charity organizations.
The 46-year-old actor said that when he exited the auditorium at Manhattan's AMC Empire movie theater, he was applauded and cheered by the audience, "It's genuine, it's real enthusiasm, I can hang with kids for hours and hours."
The Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City and SAY Charity Organizations were the reason the kids filled the venue for the screening of the movie 2 days before its release to the public.
Almost half of the kids were from Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York - an organization that gives guidance for kids in the New York city who face poverty or other adversity.
A 10-year old kid named Tariq Howell from Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York, held out his arms as wide apart as he could and said that he was surprised to see Paul Rudd.
Paul Rudd as Ant-Man plays a reformed thief with the help of Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, a retired superhero, Michael Douglas guides the Ant-man to reach his potential in becoming a hero, a plot where many people can actually relate.
Paul Rudd has volunteered at SAY charity organization for almost a decade, and said, "I know a lot of these kids for years, so it was really fun to stand up there while they were sitting there with their three-D glasses."
Paul Rudd stated about his experience of the advance screening with the kids,"It was the first time I could have a screening with kids for one of the movies I've done," Paul Rudd also said, "Most of them would not be appropriate in any way shape or form."
